ABOUT

Zac Welsh was born and raised in Frome within the Twohig & Welsh family. Zac spent considerable time at the family care homes, Belmont Villa Nursing home and Greenhill Grange residential home.

He began his tree surgery career whilst studying at Brymore school in Cannington. He then went on to achieve a Level 2 in Forestry and Arboriculture at Bridgwater College. He has been working as a full time tree surgeon since 2013. In this time, he has gained numerous qualifications from the recognized City and Guilds' NPTC including:

  • Maintainance and cross cutting 

  • Felling up to 380m

  • Felling over 380m 

  • Tree climbing and rescue

  • Aerial cutting free fall techniques 

  • Aerial tree rigging

  • Aerial tree pruning

  • Operation manual fed woodchipper 

  • First aid

Greenhill Tree care began trading in 2019 working within the community of Frome and surrounding areas.

Zac prides himself on his genuine interest in  arboriculture's best practice & ecology as well as fairness, honestly & reliability.

Zac works to the "tree work" recommendations specification BS 3998:2010

and adheres to all the current tree industry legislation that is required to operate in this business including LOLER 1998, PUWER 1998 and HSWA 1974, he has public liability insurance and is covered up to five Million Pounds,

as well as promoting to safety & ecology.
